TROOP 174 ACTIVITY INFORMATION

ACTIVITY

Brownsea-22 is a week long camp of fun and adventure based on Lord Baden-Powells first Boy Scout camp in 1907. The week concentrates on the basic scoutcraft skills and scouting spirit using the Patrol Method. Scouts eat in the camp dining hall and sleep in camp tents with platforms.

NYLT (National Youth Leadership Training) is a week long camp which helps socuts develop their leadership skills. Participants are organized in patrols and work as a Troop. Patrols do all of their own cooking.

GENERAL
INFORMATION

The Brownsea camp program is probably the best program the BSA has ever come out with. Ask any boy who has been to Brownsea. To get more of an idea about the camp ask the Scoutmaster or Jake Wellman. Also see the Brownsea Information Packet.
