TO GET PRINTS OF TROOP PHOTOS

The photos on the Troop web site have been greatly reduced in quality so that they will load faster and the maximum screen resolution is only 72 pixels/inch. However, the Scoutmaster has much higher resolution copies on his computer that are generally capable of making good quality 8X10 prints. It is now possible to upload JPEG files to Sam's Club and they will make prints for you. (Other places like Costco and Walgreens also offer this service, but they seem more expensive)

The scoutmaster is willing to:

A. Have prints made on request by:

1. Sending requested JPEG's to Sam's Club to have prints made;

2. Pick up the prints and bring them to the Troop meeting.

B. Under the following conditions:

1. People wanting prints email the picture file name(s) to the Scoutmaster within 2 weeks after the pictures are posted on the web site;

2. People ordering pictures pay the SM at the rate of

a) $0.25 per 4"X6" picture, or

b) $2 per 8"X10" picture.

II. Prepare (on request) a CD with all the pictures from an activity or campout in a "Flipalbum" format.

A. Flipalbum saves the files in a JPEG format, but displays them as:

1. A thumbnail index and,

2. Allows viewing as either a book format or as a slide show

3. The individual JPEG's may also be accessed and printed or whatever.

B. The cost of a CD is $2

III. At the end of the year the Scoutmaster will prepare a DVD with all (over 3000) pictures from the past year in a Flipalbum format. The individual albums (activities) are stored in a "bookcase" so that any activity can be easily accessed. As with the Activity CD, individual JPEG's can be accessed and printed.
